International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

Today is the international day for the elimination of racial discrimination.

And we are here to tell you that it's not enough to just be against racism. We have to actually do something about it. We have to take action.

Racism is dangerous because it provides a justification for violence against people, as well as for their oppression on individual, structural, and institutional levels. Racism doesn't just mean using racial slurs or saying something offensive. It means intentionally denying people of different races access to opportunities, resources, and services based solely on the colour of their skin.
